My scales aren't measuring the 0.1g reading capacity, is this faulty?

Answer

This is not a fault, all scales have a minimum weight required prior to registering on the display.

In general the majority of all scales need at least 5 divisions; meaning if a scale is 0.1g accuracy then it would need 0.5g before it will display. If scale has a reading accuracy of 0.01g then it would need 0.05g.

After this initial minimum weight requirement, the scale will then work in 1 divisions (0.1 for the MZ-1000).

If a user needs a scale to register weights under 0.5g they will need at least a 0.01g scale.
